Dawn Lobley Therapy

Psychotherapy & Counselling

A gentle space to explore, reflect, and reconnect

Welcome — I’m Dawn Lobley. whether you’re feeling anxious, low, or emotionally stuck, or you sense that something deeper needs attention, I offer a confidential and supportive space to work at your own pace.

You may be living with unprocessed experiences or trauma that continue to affect how you feel and relate to others. Together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity, compassion, and care, helping you move toward greater understanding and emotional balance.

I draw from a range of relational and integrative therapeutic approaches to support you as a whole person — mind, body, and emotion. My practice offers a calm, reflective environment where you can nurture self-awareness, resilience, and connection.

My background and approach

Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent 20 years working in the legal profession. That experience gave me deep insight into the stress, expectations, and hidden pressures that many people face in professional and personal life.

I now work with clients who experience:

  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Loss and grief
  • Overwhelm and burnout
  • Disconnection or loneliness
  • A sense of misalignment between who they are and what is expected of them

Alongside my private practice, I work as a University Skills Coach, supporting students with both academic and emotional wellbeing.

I am in the final year of an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham. My practice is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-friendly, grounded in relational depth, compassion, and authenticity.

As a UKCP Trainee Psychotherapist (Membership Number: 2011189666), I adhere to the UK Council for Psychotherapy Code of Ethics, ensuring a safe and ethical therapeutic relationship.

Beginning therapy in Nottingham

Finding the right therapist can feel uncertain — it’s an important and personal decision. To make this easier, I offer a free initial telephone consultation, giving us both the opportunity to explore whether we feel like a good fit before starting therapy together.

If you’re looking for integrative psychotherapy in Nottingham, or would like support with anxiety, trauma, burnout, or life transitions, I’d be glad to hear from you.
