Cat Stuart – BA (hons) MBACP

Cat Creative

Hi, I’m Cat, and I run Cat Creative — a counselling and psychotherapy practice supporting children, young adults, and parents.

I’m a registered member of the BACP, fully DBS checked and insured, with over 15 years’ experience working as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach, grounded in trust, safety, and genuine connection. From there, I thoughtfully integrate other therapeutic approaches I’m trained in, including CBT, to meet each client as the individual they are. No two people are the same, so therapy with me is always responsive and tailored to what’s needed in the moment.

My practice is creative and flexible, blending counselling with psychoeducation, mindfulness, art, and play where appropriate. I have both personal and professional experience working alongside neurodivergent individuals, and I’m skilled in adapting my approach to ensure sessions feel accessible, supportive, and empowering.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop greater self-understanding, and build skills that support them in everyday life.
Alongside my work within schools, I run a private practice and currently see clients at the Ruddington Wellness Centre.

If you’d like an initial consultation to talk through your situation and explore how I might support you or your child, please feel free to get in touch.
